话说四川一座大学，位于城市郊外，平时就流传着不少令人奇怪的不可思议的故事。有一个女生寝室，住着7个女生，平日里相安无事，但是有一晚，—住在下铺的一个女生(我们暂且叫她小萍吧)怎么也睡不着。
这一晚又出奇的安静，静得连自己的心跳都能听到。室友们都睡了，只有小萍在床上翻来覆去，睁大眼睛。她看了看表，2点了。
“哦，快睡吧，明天还要上课呢。”她喃喃地对自己说着。她仰着脸，突然，她发现床上挂的蚊帐在慢慢往下沉。住过宿舍上下铺的朋友都知道，挂在床上的蚊帐从上铺吊下来的样子。
她有点奇怪，开始还以为是风，但渐渐地发现象有个东西从蚊帐上面印下来，小萍仔细看看，是一个人脸的样子从蚊帐上浮现出来，慢慢清晰起来，就象一个石膏的人脸，而且是个男人的脸，还在对她笑。
小萍浑身发冷，一跃而起，大叫一声，全寝室的人都醒了，大家纷纷询问什么事，小萍瑟瑟发抖，指着床：“有鬼，有鬼。”
全寝室的女生吓了一跳，但左看右看，什么也没发现。
“你在做梦吧?”“别开玩笑啊!”大家都还是有点害怕。
“可能。”小萍也搞不清咋回事。
“算了，睡吧，你一定做噩梦了。”
就这样，大家又回到床上，这一晚，相安无事。但是，从此以后，这个石膏一样的男人脸，就缠上了小萍，每晚都出现，这个寝室的人也再没睡好觉。不可能每天都做同一个梦吧?大家决定向学校反映这事，但有谁相信呢，但教务处的一个主任，想了想，告诉小萍和她的室友：“你们今晚回去睡，我带几个保卫人员守在寝室外，一旦有事，你们就叫我们。”
夜晚来临，小萍和室友们早早上了床。教务主任和五、六个保安，十几个自告奋勇的男学生守在门外。“这么多人，那鬼还会出来吗?”不知谁嘀咕着。
